Traveling Madly Through Time

The notion of traveling backward or forward through time has long been a favorite subject of science fiction writers, films and television shows - from H.G. Wells' The Time Machine to the Back to the Future film series to Mr. Peabody and Sherman's Way-Back Machine. The idea is tantalizing, of course, because it affords the possibility of not only viewing the truth of history first-hand, but also perhaps to interact with it and alter it.
